Still protected by the Sea-Father. He's still being a dick to me. I wish he'd at least let me check on her wounds.
I don't know when she'll wake up.

He allows the knight, Gala, close?

To an extent. He doesn't allow her to part his tentacles but he allows her touch without retaliation.

That's annoyingly counterintuitive of him.

( but then, the spirit probably doesn't know how to distinguish friend from foe right now. )

Would it be okay if I visited her? I'll keep a respectful distance.

You're welcome to visit her anytime. She'd be pleased to have you come by, though as long as you don't try to touch her or the tentacles, they'll generally leave you alone.

Sure, I'll do that. I figured I'd read to her a bit; she always enjoyed that.

Otherwise, you've been well, Deathwarden? Must be a busy time for you, what with the festive season and all.

It's hard to quantify myself right now. I'm very busy with work, but I also completed a great project I've been working on for more than half a year for the Duchess. It unfortunately comes at a great cost.

But such are the ways of a necromancer.

I'm sorry to hear that. I guess the burden of genius is that it’s usually only recognized in hindsight.
