My sister knows exactly what I am, my Lord. She has always known, and she feeds it. No, Coronabeth isn't the issue. If anything is making me suppress violence it's the fact that despite this fucking place embracing the Resurrection, they still take issue with people dying.

I find town's laws around violence both anaemic and provincial. Not to mention their punishments - when a monster kills, the human must take the time to learn the value of the life they took, as though that would stop the monster the moment they transform again.

As though any of us actually want to transform. Logically speaking, supposedly understanding the value of a life would lead to more readily expressing lust and violence to keep the beast at bay. That doesn't help when what we really want is to rip someone apart with our bare hands, tear the flesh away piece by piece and bathe in hot fresh blood, snap bone and suck out marrow, drink in thanergy and repurpose it for something greater than their pathetic little lives. Why should we show restraint when one purposeful death can stop a multitude of pointless collateral ones? Oh fuuuuck... I need to go pick a fight with your daughter.

No, I'm not. Harrowhark has, just not this far. She's fine now. What's fucking annoying to me, from an academic standpoint, is that I can't feel the physical changes when they happen. I need to see either my reflection or look at my hair to tell there are alterations. Even while digesting my cavalier, I could still feel the eyes.

Yeah? The only changes I've witnessed directly seemed too painful to miss. Though House figured his was withdrawals. I'd give my left arm for an actual lab. With an MRI, and observation room.

The teeth I feel. The eyes and hair, I don't, but those two are earlier stages and gradual. The teeth are jarring. I've not gone beyond that, and I won't if I have any say in the matter. Then again, I'm currently beyond the standard deviation, so who fucking knows.
